Subway

The 4, 5 and 6 stop at Lexington Avenue and 59th Street, which also connects to the N, R and W. The 6 is local and stops at 68th Street (Hunter College) and 77th Street. The F and Q stop at Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street, and the Q also stops at 72nd Street on Second Avenue.

Other options

The Roosevelt Island Tramway leaves from Second Avenue and East 60th Street. The M15 runs along First and Second Avenues, and crosstown buses serve streets including 72nd and 79th. The Queensboro Bridge lands at 59th and 60th Streets for drivers heading to Queens.

Commuting to Midtown

Parts of southern Lenox Hill are walkable to offices around 57th Street, and the express 4 and 5 reach Grand Central quickly. Compare the real door-to-door time for your own workplace rather than the distance.

Connecticut trips

Grand Central Terminal, where Metro-North's New Haven Line starts, is a short ride on the 4, 5 or 6.
